I am currently in Iraq looking at my options to upgrade from my Formula to a Vette. I am interested in a 2003 0r 2004 Z06 with under 15,000 miles on it. I came across this vette and was wanting opinions on it. I would prefer one that doesnt need work but will work on it if it is a good deal or not. Please feel free to let loose. Negative and positive coments are much welcome. Thanks.

You should be able to finde what you are looking for. Looks like you are trying to come in on the top. Very low mile03-04 Zs will come w/a large price tag. Good luck.
How about this Red one. 2004 Z06 Torch Red. Only 7,209 Miles

You might spent more money than the car is worth you probably need to replace the transmision and the rear end ( used in joy rides) also if you want to get rid the car the resale value will be base on the history not on what you spent. It's gonna be your car so make a decision that is best for you. Good Luck

Chances are if the motor is blown the rest of the drive train is in very bad condition. Who ever stole that car abused it hard and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a wise investment. Check out a CORVETTE TRADER magazine or the internet for a reputable used Vette dealer. I will tell you that a 03 or 04 Z06 with low mileage will run anywhere from $30000 to $40000. Good luck in your search and thanks for serving our country. I see your stationed in FT.Riley. Its a small world. I served there back in 84-85. It takes a special type of person to serve and you should be proud of yourself!!!!! Scott In Myrtle Beach, SC

I do want to thank all of you who posted something on this topic. I will be continually looking until i get home. I had a feeling it was not the greatest idea looking at that vette but hey what can i say its my turn to enjoy GM power at its finest. If anyone is interested or knows someone that is looking to obtain a good working and running firebird i am selling mine. Let me know. Thanks.

I bought my 02 Z06 about 10 months ago. I wanted a new C5 Z06 in perfect condition that I didnt have to work on. I can tell you specifically that 10k miles on one cost 38k at the time I bought mine anywhere you looked. There were roughly 10 cars being advertised in america that met my needs at that time. My car had 15k miles on it, was local, and was also the best priced in the nation that I could fine for what I wanted. The ad for the car was up for under 30 minutes before I purchased it. I was very specific about a black with black interior very low mileage Z06. If you want red, yellow, or even silver then you can get one slightly cheaper. Basically you can buy a C6 for nearly the same price. Also you should note that financing a private owner vehicle currently calls for either a large down payment or stellar credit. I wanted a C5 Z06 only so thats up to your discretion.
