Since the Corvette Grand Sport was introduced for the 2010 model year, some Corvette enthusiasts have been fixated on the Grand Sport’s front fender vents. People love those things. Cudos to Corvette Chief Stylist, Tom Peters, and his team of exterior designers for making the Grand Sport exterior so good looking.

It’s no news flash that Corvette enthusiasts love to personalize their cars. A cottage industry has sprouted up making special trim pieces available for the Grand Sports’ fender vents.

The first, is a two-piece set of “Laser Mesh Inserts”. This kit installs, one per side, into the rearmost of each set of side vents. The inserts are made of 304 stainless steel and are engineered to radiate unmatched sparkle and glitter. A laser cutter gives the stainless steel a precise diamond mesh pattern. After cutting, the inserts are hand-tooled to remove sharp edges. They are made of 304 stainless which means they will never tarnish, pit or loose luster. Zip Corvette’s laser-cut, diamond mesh makes a higher-quality Corvette part than are some less-expensive products made with wire mesh. Each is coated with a strong adhesive and installation is peel-and-stick.

Zip also has a second, six-piece kit which uses the same construction and quality but puts mesh grills on all three vent openings.

The third of Zip’s C6 Corvette Grand Sport vent trim products is a four-piece set of plates that go on the side of each vent. Each plate is made of the same 304 stainless as the vent diamond mesh parts, but is designed to bond to the sides of the vents. These stainless steel plates are adhesive-backed and installation is peel-and-stick. You have a choice of two finishes, brushed or polished.

So…you can have it three different ways or a combination of all three but no matter what you choose for your Grand Sport, it will have the best looking vents in town.
