My question is I am getting ready to buy a C5 coupe but I wanted to get some opinions from people who know about corvettes so that is why I'm here.

I'm looking at 3 differnt years 98,00,02 and they all have low miles my question is am I pretty much getting the same car no matter what year I buy or is there any significant differnces between these years. I know that this is a pretty open ended question but all 3 look and ride well but should I spend more for the 00,02 or is the 98 just as good of a car

From an engine perspective, if you aren't going to heavily mod the car any of them will be just fine. If you plan on nitrous/super/turbocharging the engine I would go with the 02 as the engine block itself is stronger.

You'll also get HUD and a car that burns no oil with an 02-04.
