I was curious is there anything special that needs to be done when installing a new valve cover gasket?
Should I use like a RTV silicone on it to make a better seal?
Thanks in advance.

The gaskets are newer tech than the old style and do not require any adhesive. They are also reusable.

Just make sure they are clean and dry.

Clean and dry, and reusable, got it. Thanks guys. BTW with the valve cover off is there anything I should be keeping my eye out inspection wise? You know anything in the motor?

Couldn't hurt to give the valve springs a once over to make sure there are no issues. Look for any unknown debris as well. :D

Just check and make sure that none of the rockers are loose also, and as DTS has stated look for debris!

It is so nice not to have to use RTV, just get the new gasket and away you go!
