Why is it when the AC is not on and off that I get heat coming out of vents?

Try this.. Turn the A/C to the lowest temp I think its 60 degress and then turn it off.. Worked for me on my Vette and My Silivarado.. Hope it works for you..

Might have an ac door motor acting up. Try ^^^ first. If that doesn't work, it's time to see the dealer. That's not normal. Also check fuses to make sure none are out.

Also if there is someone in your area with HP Tuners (http://www.hptuners.com), they can check to see if you have any HVAC codes stored.

Just do one of the above and you will get your problem fixed!

I've noticed if my last setting is on heat, even though the fans are turned off, there will be some heat slidding on through. However if I have the climate control on AC then it will blow cooler air out when fans not on. I hope that sounded right.
