My friend programs his remote and it works once.
Then when he comes back to the car it has lost its programming and it will not unlock the car.
He has fresh batteries in the remote. In other words it won't hold the programming.:doh:
Forgive me if there have been previous threads on this.
By the way it is a 1999

So it is forgetting the programming after he walks away from the car. Is there a certain time frame? As in does it happen immediately or does it take time?

:iagree: Is the remote actually being re-programmed, or merely re-synched? Because that makes a difference. It is also possible the contacts or solder connections in the remote have become cracked or broken. Those can be carefully resoldered.

You have to do it through the DIC in the dash. I have forgotten how off the top of my head, but you can try a search, or maybe someone else can post it up. It's in the owner's manual as well. I do know that you can program up to three remotes, and once you do one any others are removed from the system unless they too are programmed at the same time. Hope that helps a little. :thumbsup3:
