84 vette has been sitting for 2 years, fuel gauge shows empty and i made sure there was at least 5 gallons of fuel in tank. shouldnt you be able to hear the fuel pump running if its working ?
is there a relay that can b checked ? i checked the fuse and it was ok. if the pump is bad is it a bear to change ? appreciate any info and help you can offer.
thanx

Should be easy job, if memory serves correct the fuel pump is located along the frame on the right side of the car, you may want to change out the filter also if the car has been sitting for a while.

Try to do this with under 1/4 tank of fuel, you will need jack stands or rhino ramps. And where safety glasses! Have some shop rags around for fuel spill.
