This is my "money pit" car. I bought it all factory stock with that smokin' 180hp engine....what a joke. The only "mod" was a shift kit in the 350 turbo tranny. It also came with the 5-spoke Pontiac rims which I still have in case I should decide to repaint and sell them etc. The first thing I did was put some aluminum rims and new tires on it. 10's in back and 8's on front.

I then filled the empty hole where the radio used to be with a new Blaupunkt pullout, Jensen amp and a pair of Blaupunkt 6x9's for the rear deck. (I removed the left-rear seat and built a custom platform for the amp). I bought a new dash and console from "Year One". I also bought a new grille, headlight housings, parking lights and parking light housings from Year One, come to think of it.
To get a litle more power out of the engine until I could get my new one custom built, I took that P.O.S. Quadrajet and literally threw it in the dumpster. I then bought a new Edelbrock (you'll see this brand quite a bit...) high-rise intake manifold and Edelbrock Performer 750cfm carb as replacements. It helped a little but not enough. I then studied up on Edelbrock's 435hp crate engine and had a company in Kentucky that builds racing engines build me the same exact short block setup, and had it shipped to my house. Along with the previously purchased intake and carb., I added a new set of aluminum Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, CNC Aluminum extended-slot roller-tip rockers, Edelbrock 110gph fuel pump with bottom-feed plate, Edelbrock #7102 cam int/exh 234/244deg --lift .488/.510, ARP bolts everywhere, Moroso extra capacity oil pan and welded high volume pump with windage tray, Heavy-duty radiator and electric fan, aluminum electric water pump, Pete Jackson noisy gear drive, MSD billet distributor, MSD 6A ignition controller, MSD blaster 2, Pair of ceramic coated Flowtech "afterburner" headers, 3" dual exhaust, pair of "Mr. Gasket" dash-mounted exhaust dumpers(open exhaust), pair of Thrush glasspacks, B&M Holeshot 3000 torque converter, B&M Megashifter ratchet shifter with Hammerhead grip.

I also replaced the stock gauge cluster with a Cyberdyne digital gauge cluster (mph, rpm, fuel, amps, engine temp, oil pressure), and added another 3-digital gauge cluster beneath the stereo for oil temp, air/fuel mix and fuel pressure.

I still consider it to be a work in progress......
