New here with a '98 Automatic that makes a whinny noise, I have been told that the tranny could use a rebuild. I'm wondering should I have the tranny built back to factory specs or if I'm planning on adding some mods should I have certain parts of the tranny beefed up?

I have a 98 also with 126K on the odometer. After all of the work done I decided to go with a slightly biefed up transmission. Your budget and use of the car should help you decide. My new 98 Vert has an FLP level 4 4l60e in it and it shifts awesome! I never wanted an auto until I drove this car and saw how fast it shifts and downshifts!
