I'm getting some supplies for a spring tune up on my 2004 and my serpentine belt is one of the items that was showing some wear. Curious is there a tensioner pulley on a '04 or do I need to adjust this after so many miles?

Yes, you have a tensioner on the passenger side. As long as you've got the right replacement belt the job only takes about 5 minutes.

Well, I'm a big fan of the Goodyear Gatorback belts and that part number is 4060798 6PK2025.
AND, not that you need one or will need one for a long time, but the LS2 tensioner part number 12569301 is a direct bolt on for the LS1/6 engines and it has higher pulley sides so the belt can't slip off as easily. A very nice piece and a good up grade, especially for the track.

Two bolts and the LS2 tensioner replaces the LS1 tensioner directly. There is no more tension, that's the same but the LS2 has a pulley that lets the belt set deeper in it than the LS1.
