I am having a problem with my climate control. My fan speed shows that the speed is adjusting from 1 to 10 as it should. My fan itself, however is not adjusting. It seems to blow on high speed regardless of the setting.anyone have any ideas what the problem could be?Anything I could check or try to see what is wrong??

Check the blower resistor.

Could be the connections on head unit to harness plugs
Check the blower resistor.
Resistors only on Man a/c.
Elec A/c (C68 ) has control by blower control module

sorry for the late response. Thanks for the info.Is the control module located by the fan itself under the passenger lower dash panel?A freind told me that is where he thought it should be.Is there any way to check it or should I just relace it and hope it works?I`m not the type that likes to do it that way,it get`s expensive replacing unneccessary parts.I see people do this all the time on Harleys they try to fix themselves.I found a new module for $70 so that doesn`t sound too bad.Small things like this drive me nuts!

By the motor itself, but LH half of casing. Look for the part with two wire harness together. Only thing with wires on the top.
Has a few screws to remove it.

That module went out on my 91 and the blower was stuck on and high.

Because of the way it is wired , when module faulty it will run the blower fan even if key is off

mine doesn`t run with the key off. it runs on high when any of the heater or a/c functions are activated. it worked fine until I removed the info center to replace a blown bulb in the traction control display.

I just replaced my control module with a brand new one.Still the same problem,no fan speed control. Is there a fuse associated with this or am I looking at a bad control unit in the dash?I wanted to be sure because this part for the dash looks to be very expensive.

Like I said back in post #2.
Check the connections on the head unit .The head unit appears to be adjusting the fan speed correctly as indicated by the numbers changing, just that the signal is not getting to the blower control module

I checked the connections before I bought the module.Everything looks fine.I just purchased a factory service manual so maybe that will help me find out what the problem is.I`ve checked a couple of forums that tell how to check everything but it`s hard to look at the computer and the car at the same time.I figured it would be easier with the manual.Besides,I am sure I will find plenty of uses for the manual anyway. Thanks for the response!!

I just found my problem!!Blown fuse. How stupid can you be?I now have an extra control module for sale if anyone out there needs one. It`s brand new from Corvette Central.I`ll take $50 for it if anyone is interested in it.I`ll ship it anywhere for true shipping charges,no gouging on the shipping like Ebay.
