I'm getting ready to replace the heater hoses in my car and want to add one of those shut off valves in the line that goes into the heater core and keeps the insides of my Vette so hot.

My question is, which hose is the inlet hose. I think that it's the one coming from the block, not the pump. I'm I right about that? can somebody please verify.

350 Automatic car.

Thanks

Well if the stock lines are still on it, put the shutoff on the line that the original vacuum operated valve is on.

If your vacuum-operated heater control valve is working, an additional shut off valve won't do anything at all.

The supply line to the heater core comes from the block, goes thru the heater core and returns to the water pump.
