Need info regarding removal and installation of a C5 shift knob

Using a small screwdriver, gently pry off the cap with the shift pattern on it. Under it you will see a key that keeps the shift knob from unscrewing. Using a screwdriver or needle nose pliers remove this key, then you can remove your shift knob and replace it with whatever type knob you want. Sometimes the key is a little hard to remove and other times they pop right out, depends how hard they hammer them in at the factory. Good luck :cheers:
