What is the C.I. of the LS1 motor? 350? How much HP should it put out stock? Im still learning this car thing Ive aways had bikes. Im kinda taking the same approach i would with a motorcycle.
Ive up dated my rotors to drilled and slotted ones, they look really cool with the freshly painted calipers. Next is exhaust, Im torn between corsa and borla. Im going to do mufflers and the X pipe. Could i possibly run into any tuning issues? Any advice is always welcome. I hate doing things twice.
thanks all

346 CU, 345/350 HP, depending on what year your C5 is.
IF you want deep & throaty, go with the Borla. With just a catback and X-pipe, you shouldn't have any tuning issues at all.

Im slowly learning my way out of ignorance. The transition from two wheels to four has been fun so far. So far Ive noticed parts are more expensive but labor is about the same as bikes.
How difficult is it for a fairly well rounded parts swapper to remove and install the exhaust? No headers, but just the X pipe and mufflers? I really dont want to get under there and mess something up. Is it all nuts and bolts or is welding involved?

no welding , normal tools wil suffice

Good project, if you can get the Vette on a lift it's a piece of cake!

What lift did you go with? I was thinking of the Backyardbuddy.
