i absolutely love driving my 01 corvette 6 speed ive had it already 3 weeks and have added a borla cat back (which sounds amazing:sm_party:) and added some chrome 18x9's in the front and 19x10's in the rear and to top it off i had it lowered 2 inches so it sits very nice! just the feel this car gives me is amazing. my first question is i found a nice performance shop here in indiana and they quoted me 550 for a custom dyno tune and the tech said i could gain anywhere from 10-20rwhp and improve gas mileage. i just want most bang for the buck and i would be happy just with 10rwhp from a tune if that was possible. does anyone think i should go with this dyno tune? does anyone think i should swap out the paper air filter and stock housing for a cold air intake? also what rear gears does my car have i read online and i think i read 342's? the tech at that performance shop said i should do a rear gear change but im happy with how good it pulls and the gas mileage im getting in town and highway 20 city 28 highway. last question what do you guys think my car will turn in the quarter mile? im a very experienced driver no begginer here so is high 12's possible i looked online at it said 13.2 @ 106mph but ive seen stock camaro SS's do that and they weigh more. i know this is a huge post but i need some help with this funk im in cause like i said im new to the whole corvette thing im not used to people telling me everyday nice car and how awesome my car sounds! its a great feeling to own a vette now!!! :beerbang::beerbang::beerbang:

Welcome ! Congratz on the new ride i can see your smile from here:rofl: I wouldnt spend the money on a tune just yet it would be a waste IMO get yourself some long tubes to go with that borla and a nice cold air intake for starters then a tune, many modifications are available horsepower wise set a goal of what you would like to achieve take your time and ask questions and research

Well, you already know the gas mileage that your car gets now, so why do you not take it for a 1/4 mile run and see what it turns before you mess with the car. It just might surprise you, and at least then you will have a comparison for how effective any future mods are that you do...........:thumbsup3:
