Is there any documented proof that these systems provide any positive support to an engine with just normal bolt ons? Or is this a complete waste of $$

its a waste of money on a stock motor. Its purpose is to allow higher compression, as with forced induction or dome pistons , more timing advance, and still be able to run pump gas..it will do nothing for your stock motor...If you want to spray more power, use a nitrous kit

Yes, a waste, even for some bigger power engines of what I've heard.

Buddy of mine had one but only used it for a few weeks and took it off, it didn't do anything.

It would not be a waste of time on a stock motor IF you have the car tuned for it (which is something I wouldn't do), but I will never run high boost again without it. There are much better mods for a stock motor that give you more bang for the buck (like gears).

I just have heard that the water and meth is not very good, it would have to be the full meth to have a decent effect.
