I am having a problem with my tire pressure monitoring system on my 1999 Coupe. I am also having a problem with my remote locks. I am wondering if there is any possibility, however remote, the two systems may be connected, possibly by the same fuse? The local service center here in Hawaii wants to charge me $2200.00 to replace the remote lock receiver and all four tire sensors. I think they may be trying to pull a fast one on me. This is the third Corvette I've owned, but it is the only C5. I just don't know enough about the computer systems on Vettes to even diagnose these problems, let alone fix them. Any help would be appreciated. Sailordan2@hawaii.rr.com

You are correct the RFA module handles both of them.
You can check for codes:
1. Turn the key to run but don't start.
2. Press and hold the Options button.
3. While holding the options button press the Fuel button 4x.
Car will now enter diagnostics mode.
Write down any codes that pop up and report back.
You can use the Gauges and Options buttons to page forward and backward through the different modules. If you get a no-communications with the RFA module (http://209.85.173.104/search?q=cache:XJttqnedessJ:www.corvettefever.com/techarticles/9915_chevrolet_corvette_computer_codes/photo_20.html+Remote+Function+Actuator+corvette&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=4&gl=us), either the module is dead or the fuse is out.
