I am doing a frame-off restoration on my '66 Roadster. I replaced the 327, 300hp with a GM-ZZ383 crate engine. This engine has the aluminum fast-burn Vortec heads. I also replaced the 4-speed with a 5-speed Tremec Transmission. The differential has 3:36 gears.
The recommended GM Intake manifold for the 383 will not fit under the small block hood. Does anyone have a recommendation for an intake Manifold that will clear the hood? Also, which carburetor would be recommended?
I plan on using 2-1/2" Corvette Rams Horn exhaust manifolds.
