Hello to everybody. I am new here. Just wanted to introduce myself. My handle is "Cowboy" as you can see. Currently residing in the central Texas Hill Country.
I have a 1974 L48 Coupe. Had it since 2000 and been in my family since 1989. I think I am the 4th owner overall and my Dad was the third. (Dad is still alive and well, not what you think. Sold me his '74 to go buy a '64 Stingray convertible)
Anyway I am getting ready to undertake some major mods to the C3 Vette as soon as I sell my 2001 Prowler. I look forward to your advice and assistance on some of the mods I plan to do:
-Possibly change Trans from TH400 to Tremec 5 speed
-Move from carb to EFI, not sure who's EFI yet.
If you have done some of these mods on a C3 I'd love to talk with you about it. Feel free to send me an email.
Thanks, Tom

Welcome Cowboy, your making the right decision - SELL the plymouth! You'll find in the end you will have more fun with the Vette!

The big decision point for me on what to keep, Vette or Prowler, is that the Vette is 1) Not emissions controlled where I live. 2) It is technology I can work on myself. The Prowler is too dependant on computer controls to get too wild with the modifications. Plus you have to worry about the smog test.
The Vette is fun to drive and has the V-8 rumble to Prowler will never have.

Keep the V8 power, Keep the Vette! Prowlers are fun cars for a 3.6 liter engine, however you'll never out grow the Vette! Cheers!
