Sorry not yet! but very soon.
Its been a very busy summer and the things I usually do I just haven't had the time.

Mseven (Mick) has been helping me thoughout the last couple of months with this tune. Because of that we found a few issues here and there with sensors and the LM-1. One thing I did learn is you can't wire in the LM-1 direct to the ECM. The numbers aren't accurate. For instance my controller would read one number, the datalog software another, and yet the guage on the pillar pod another. So that was screwing us up. Then a few other minor things. I will say that from the installation of the new stuff and driving it to now is night and day. The tune is trully needed.
Anyways found another guy with a dyno just down the street. (Typically use Redline but it gets harder and harder to get on there)
Either next Monday or Tuesday were gonna get it on the dyno. My goal at this point isn't numbers but rather see where my AFR is at and compare that data to the LM-1. But buy the end of the week I should be running the dyno in Carlisle again.

Do we wanna start taking guess as to where the hp/tq is gonna be at?

Just a reminder of the setup
HSR,268H cam (.512 int .508 ext ) ,Patriot Heads, 1.6rrs, headers,test pipe, borlas, 2500 tc, 3:45 gears, nitto 555r tires.

Should be cool when you get it on the dyno!

Looking forward to the results. I will keep my eye on the Carlisle dyno to see how it goes.

Me too! Just hope they strap it in nice an tight. I always get nervous watching my car wheels spin at 135mph but not moving!

Last week I found a fella in Malta that has a dyno. So on Monday I'm going there to make a few pulls to see if the AFR is in line.
But I'll run the dyno again in Carlisle. Hopefully at full WOT. I like to be the first one on in the AM, naturally since its the coolest time of day.

If you see a silver looking thing rocketing down the hill its just me and the straps let loose!

Do you happen to have an air/fuel mixture meter? If you do, couldn't you stick it's probe up your tail pipe and lengthen the wires enough so you could read it inside your car while you're giving it full throttle on some back road?

Yes I do, it a LM-1 A/F WB02. I've had the sensor replaced a couple of times and sent the controller back to innovate for recalibration. I'm not convinced though its accurate. Doesn't appear to match my BLM's

Thats why I don't park downhill from the dyno :happy0045:

Did the dyno turn out ok?
Mick is sending me a chip now that should be a safe tune up. He did me a huge favor by whipping something up so I can make the Carlisle trip with the 87. Should arrive today or tomorrow.

Actually no, I was told to call this local guy this past Friday to set up for Monday or Tuesday of this week. Called 3x and left messages but never got a return call...wtf! Some of these people with these dynos I just don't understand. So needless to say the only one I'm running on this week will be at Carlisle. Hopefully either Friday AM or Saturday AM.
Doing some last min stuff on the car today. Haven't drivin it in two weeks so I want to run it today for a bit.
Mick is a real good guy. He helped me out in a bind back in early July. Fortunetly with mine though I don't have to wait for a chip. He just emails me the tune and I flash it in.

Ed,
That is what I should do. What would you recommend I buy so I can do the same?

The only way I know of to do that is by using dynamicefi's ecm. But it will set you back a few hundred. I'll show it to you in Carlisle

For GM ECM's up to '93 LT1( removable memcals )
Two choices
This device ( a emulator ) lets you adjust tune from a laptop even while you are driving
http://www.moates.net/ostrich-20-the-new-breed-backordered-p-169.html?cPath=31

You adjust your tune using the software on your laptop and upload it to the Ostrich.
That holds the tune and runs the engine .You can remove the laptop until you want to adjust tune again
When ( If ) you get a tune you are happy with ,you can burn a chip and remove the Ostrich for use elsewhere

Or you can buy the Moates adapter that takes a reprogrammable chip to replace your memcal
http://www.moates.net/gp1-package-gm-adapter-with-2-chips-p-41.html?cPath=31

and program chips with a burner from your laptop as required.
http://www.moates.net/burn2-chip-programmer-p-197.html?cPath=31

All that is needed if you have someone like Mick sending tunes to you

Let me update this for you guys so you can see where I'm at right now.
I did do 2 pulls in Carlisle... PeteK was present. BTW finally after about 4 years I finally met him face to face for the first time.. He's a great guy not only to learn from but to have a few beers as well with..:beer-fresh:

Anyways due to some lean issues I spoke to the guy running the dyno and asked him if he could do my pulls a bit different. I wasn't pulling for hp/tq at this point.

The 2 pulls consisted of 1) just standard driving allowing it to go through the gears and 2) getting it to go into PE mode
My goal was to compare my LM-1 with his wideband on the dyno. Its definetly lean and needs more tuning but this is a good base.
I know you want some numbers to date so I'll give them to you. RPM was less than 4K so the HSR hasn't even kicked in at this point. But it was 210 rwhp and 254 tq. Aren't even close yet to doing some real pulling with it. But as it stands at this point is DEFINETLY better numbers than the Xram combo that I had.
I think in the end we should see more than 300 hp /tq at the wheels.
I will keep this updated at the tune gets better and I make additional pulls with it.

Glad everything worked out Ed. It was good to have a few :beer-fresh: with you and Pete. See you at Roaring Brook next week.
