Galron 08-13-2010, 02:19 PM I have a 85 L98 and i am hearing this ticking sound coming from what seems like the intake manifold area. had a guy listen to it who believes it is lifter knock. if anyone else knows what im talkin about, please fill me in. Bet that is what it its.:thumbsup: Bad Karma 08-14-2010, 12:42 PM yeah the injectors make more of ticking sound where I'd describe a collapsed lifter ad more of a tapping... If it's a collapsed lifter, you can run seafoam through the engine oil and it make clean it up so the lifter starts working again. Managed to help my brother's Camaro so we didn't have to yank the manifold and replace it. | |
