What if the spasrk plug wire cross or lay next to each other-will that cause a mis-fire or arcing problem? In 2002 had dealership change wires/plugs and just now am driving the vette again with only 1,000 miles since the plugs and wires were changed and had 3 bad wires due to arcing. Looks like wires were to close to each other. What is the best waty besides looms to keep them from touching?

Sounds like crap wires MSD 8.5 wires can be laying on each other and never arc unless there a hole in the wire. Some cheap wires are thin and not made well so they leak. I would put MSD wires on and be done with it.

Get better wires.

They were ac delco from the dealer so I could see them as cheap wires. I know have borg warner. Tuned the 85 to 6 degrees btdc and car just flys.

The wires should be good quality if they are indeed AC Delco. How do you know they really are? The wires should be able to be run alongside each other without arcing taking place. But #5 and #7 CAN arc under a heavy load, so those two should be separated at least an inch or more.

If they are from the dealership I would say yes are the real thing. I pulled the wires and saw the burn marks.
