If you are a hard core roadcourse racer you could over heat the rotors to point of cracking. But for normal driving I haven't heard of anyone having problems.

If you plan to road race, go with slotted rotors. 99% of serious RR guys use them.

Drilled rotors look great, but the holes do little to dissipate heat and cracks can form at the holes which can eventually lead to the rotor failing.

That's not an issue for street driving, but on the track where brake pad temps can easily exceed 400 degrees, it can be an issue.

One guy I know of had his new drilled style rotors completely fail breaking some suspension components as well as damaging his brand new wheels.

Not saying this will happen to anyone else but he bought from an unknown person  and unknown brand.

Hey Doug! Were you talking about me??? I bought from Sportbrakes(dimpled and slotted) and with less than 500 miles, it split completely in half. All I can say is buy a reputable product with a reputable name. The damages these pieces of sh*t rotors have caused me!!! :willy_nilly:

By any chance do you have a picture of the broken discs?
I've never heard of these. They claim the only use Brembo, Bradi, ATE, & Zimmerman. Their retail pricing doesn't add up to what those discs are worth. And for one thing, Bradi was bought out by Brembo.
