My throttle is sticking. When you start the car it idles just fine as soon as you step into the gas and go above about 1800 RPM's and then let go the gas it sticks there? If you tape on the gas a few times it will drop back down. But will stick again if you raise the RPM's??

Whens the last time you have cleaned your throttle body? Might be gunked up.

I personally have never cleaned it? How will I know if it is the throttle body rather something else on the car?

Hello
Two things. First check the cable from the cruse control servo to the throttle body make sure it's not to tight.
Next it you have a high mile car the throttle body shaft will wear in to the aluminum housing and cause it to binding. Hold shaft and move it back and forth it should move very little. Next get your car at the high idle(1800 rpm's) then just tap on the throttle linkage(under the hood) if the rpm's drop it's probably a dirty or worn out throttle body .
