Hi, I have a 2008 Z06. Problem is the brake caliper pins, GM part number 19121796 have rusted on the visible outside heads. I live in Southern CA so I was surprised when I noticed this. My local Chevy dealer checked with the factory and they said the rust was not covered under warranty. These pins list for about $26.00 EACH! So I have purchased some new ones and am wondering what I can do with the new ones before I install them to try and stop the rust? They are already cad plated but so are the ones that rusted. So my questions to all are: 1. Has anyone else had this type of problem? 2. If so, has GM covered the problem under warranty? 3. Any idea on any additional plating that may help prevent the rust? Would appreciate any suggestions on this. Thanks, John
