You won't feel any gain but your torque converter will lock up later. A dyno might detect a difference but it'll be small.

You are talking" Ricer"
Any chip you can buy off the shelf from Walmart is not worth having.
You don't chip a Vette but get a tune done.
What mods do you have and what are you trying to achieve?

Many tuning places like PCM for less and others can do a custom tune ($150 ) by mail order for you to suit your requirements.Or as noted you can have a local tuner run the car on a dyno and retune

Check out the options list

We do chips and custom tunes.

$110 for the standard chip that is for a stock car, more for the custom tune.

My tuner is the guy who wrote all the Hypertech stuff, and one of FAST's top techs.

To to the "for sale" section I helped out a guy with a 92 who got a tune from us, you can ask how he liked it.

My 92 has a chip in it. The two biggest functions it provided were disabling CAGS and lowering the fan control points to work better with my 160 stat.

I saw no performance change.

And you probably won't unless you do mods and a custom tune. We play with the timing a bit, which will result in some more power...and the fuel delivery some, but there isn't much a stand alone tune is going to do on a stock car.

Didn't really expect any. The chip was an add on with some other items I bought.

What else did you do?

The engine is stock. I picked some misc OEM pieces that were missing under the hood. The chip has been in the car for about 8 years now.
