I jacked up the car this weekend and cleaned the wheels and brakes. This took near forever! But happy with the results. Wondering how often do others do the same? After doing it, you can see this is the best way to get all the dirt off. But time consuming.

I do this about 3 times a year. However, I do clean the inside of the wheels every time I wash the car. I just pull them a couple/three times a year to be thorough.

I do my cars quite often. I don't have a set time table. When I think the need it I pulled the wheels and detailed the brake calipers, wheels wells, inside of the wheels, etc.

Sword - your cars are spectacular !!! One question about the Menzerna - are you using the "Nano" product or the base Micro polish , Autogeek has both - micro is $29 and the nano is $45 . Thanks for your help !!!!

I have used a number of different menzerna polishes. My favorites are:
Nano PO106FF Cut = 2.5, Gloss = 5
Polish PO85RD Cut = 1.5, Gloss = 5
Micro Polish PO87MC Cut = 1, Gloss = 5
Scale 1 = Low, 5 = High
The one I used depends how bad the swirls or light scratches are. On the recent detail of my Viper I used Micro Polish PO87MC because it only had very light swirls and the clear coat is not super hard. PO87MC runs around $30 for 32oz. The clear coat on the newer Vettes is hard. I would use PO85RD for very light swirls and PO106FF for moderate swirls. I never let my cars get real bad before I polish them but menzerna does make polishes with a higher cut. I love the way the menzerna polished finish up and they leave very litte dust.

Good tips Sword. You really take detailing to another level!
