I have a K&N CAI on my '96. Friday while on the phone with the rep over there he recommended I pick up the pro "M" mass airflow sensor? Apparently it works better with their CAI and gives more performance? Its another $300 for this thing. If it works and there are proven gains -great. If not :leaving:

What you think?

Hello
If your motor has no performance modifications (Big cam, Ported heads, Stroker crank) stay with the stock mass airflow sensor. In 96 there is a mass airflow and a map sensor working together great system. You know the old saying "If it's not broke don't fix it"

$300 bucks is 300 bucks saved! So this thing would work fine with a mod'ed motor?

You got it. Save your money. I have seen many people buy these big mass airflow meters that promise big HP gains, install them on there stock motors and it backfires, spit an sputter just to put there stock meter back on and then be stuck with a $300.00 part thats worth $50.00 on Ebay.
