I am thinking of tinting my windows and wanted to find out if anyone with a convertible vette has tinted the rear glass window or should I just tint the door windows? Help and/or advice appreciated as always!

We had the rear window tinted on our 02 convertible. Glad we did.

I have an 02 as well. No issues with it bubbling up because of the rear defroster? Thanks

If you do, if you can do a shade lighter than the door glass, But yes for sure no problems on mine.

I had the rear window in my 2000 vert tinted the same percentage as my sides, 50%, because it is glass, whereas the 88 vert I traded in for it had the plastic rear window and of course could not be tinted. This was about the first mod I did, a couple weeks after purchasing new in early 2000. I have the defroster and have had ZERO problems with everything these last 10 years, even with cycling the top up and down. As long as you make sure it doesn't get rubbed on anything when stowed, and the correct cleaner is used (yes, you have to use something that won't dissolve or mar it), then you'll be OK. If it gets tinted, go the same or a shade lighter as the sides as has been suggested. If you go darker than the sides, visibility could become a problem as there isn't a lot to look through back there, but that really depends on the level of tint you choose for the sides. I say go for it!

I agree, just keep it low enough to see though!
