When I slow down on the freeway the car (1994 C4 Corvette) always back fires and is annoying? I bought the car with a magnaflow exhaust already on it? Is it back firing because of the exhaust or could there be something wrong with the car?

Hello.
Most aftermarket exhaust systems will make it sound like its back firing when slowing down if the throttle is closed.

All tpi cars backfire you just dont hear it with a really quiet (stock) exhaust system. My 92 TPI camaro would backfire decelerating in 3rd and 4th also. My 85 vette as well.
