I am going to be getting a set of headers installed at my mech. What should the time be to install them so I know he's being straight with me?
I have an 86 and full length headers will be going on, I just don't have the time to do this myself.

Once he gets to it, a few hours. But anything on a vette is tough.

Depends on how easy the original exhaust comes apart. Depends if you keep the AIR system in tact. Depends on the EGR provision.
Lots of variables.
In a PERFECT world, 4 hours.

Exactly
I just installed stock exh back into my '87.Took me a hour to get one stock manifold bolted up , lack of working room
Could drop both long tube headers out in less than 20 min ( inc beer )
On my 89 it only took 1 hour to get the Hooker headers on, but 4 hours to cut and weld the y pipe to make it fit.. Like mentioned above, it all depends on how it fits and how the old stuff comes off.WW
