Has anyone applied some kind of coating to their chrome wheels to make them look like black chrome?

I haven't but saw a TV illustration of a product (seems like it was made by Duplicolor) and it has been done. Not sure how it looked "close up" and how long such "paint" lasts but I'm like you - would prefer to see someone else who has done it before trying it on my own wheels!
