I smelled anti freeze but I can not find a leak any where. What could that be it smoked under the hood this morning I'm not sure if it is anti freeze because it did not do it again when driven.

Open hood before starting in the morning, start her up and see if you can find leak, sometimes a leak can occour during warm up and after that it goes away. Take a marker and mark coolant level on your coolant tank when cold and when its at operating temp. If the mark cold level drops, you have a leak. rad should be filled to top if you open the rad cap when its cold (no air present) if there is air then there is a leak. make sure the coolant tank hose is a snug fit at rad and at tank so when engine cools it sucks up coolant from tank. Put clamp or tye strap on tank hose if in doubt. check rad cap gasket

Rock crusher is right, check all those things and you may just find the problem.

I was smelling coolant for 2-3 days then finally last night one of my hoses blew a hole and my coolant leaked out. So be careful.

Just replaced water pump on '93. Even if it does NOT look like pump is leaking around edges, look underneath it. There is a weep hole that allows fluid to escape if bearing is shot. Fluid will be on the floor and on frame/chassis. Engine ntemp will not necessarily go up, and fluid levels might not go down noticeably. Shop for a rebuilt pump if needed..prices vary widely.

Thanks, I didn't know that.

I started smelling coolant inside and pressure checked the cooling system, found coolant running down firewall on passenger side.I then had to remove the dash and replace the heater core. Lots of fun
