My worst tiket is a 45 in a 35, I was going 49 or 51 passing and didn't see the cop, Happy Valentines day to me. The cop must have felt like a dick though were he was sitting and how close he was to the 45 sign that he dropped it to 45 in a 35. I've just been lucky, knock on wood.

The shot was actually a different run. We got tagged doing 135.
We got a big lecture..but, the only one to get tagged was a friend with NO license. (Someone else had to drive home). He explained that when you had BIG trouble on the road- if you are a licensed driver with suspensions and you get tagged..you get arrested! If, you do NOT actually have a State License- they give you a ticket and a desk appearance. Interesting concept. For some reason the last three times we got stopped in a big group, we only got lectured..maybe it's just too much trouble writing 22 tickets ! :lol:

NO KIDDING!!! My wife would kill me and make me get ride of my car!

Those are some crazy tickets!! I am happy that I have not had any tickets of that nature!

My first question is how could he write you up for following too close? It doesn't sound like you were following anyone. I would recommend talking to a lawyer for advice and to see if he can work out some kind of plea deal.

Back in 1986 I had a new IROC that only had 85 mph on the speedometer. When the cop asked me if I knew how fast I was going, I replied over 85. Radar got me for 117 in a 55. I also blew a .07. I only got written up for speed. I talked to a lawyer who said to be humble and not to plead nolo or not guilty. He said anything besides a guilty plea would **** off the judge. He said that worst case was $1000 fine and a weeks community service, but to expect around a $600 to $700 fine. My story had a happy ending & I was only fined $140.

Brother you never been on an exotics run! We had 22 vehicles all doing 135-160+ blowin' from lane to lane and jockeying the parkway on at least an 80 mile route. This ticket made for an example of how an officer will respond when pissed off..we've encountered worse..but this makes for a good post... :ack2:

Luckily the only ticket that I have gotten while in the Vette was a non moving violation for parking the wrong way on the street that I live on!

This happened in my Camaro, but since this is the "off topic" forum I guess it's cool to post it here. My Camaro attracts every rice boy and gearhead around when I drive it and having a liciense plate that says 2SCARY doesn't help much....:thumbsup: But I was driving home one night and came to a stoplight. Then a 4x4 of all things pulls up next to me and starts lurching forward like he wants to go. At the same time, some IDIOT comes right up behind me and stops about 1 inch from my rear bumper. Even as I crept forward a bit, they crept right along with me. Between goober in the truck and the illegal taigater I'm getting pissed. So when the light turns green I stomp on it and quickly pull away from the truck and the tailgater before squeeling second. It's about the time I do this when I look up in my mirror to see the tailgating car turn it's red and blue flashing lights on.......uh oh! A COP!:ack2:
So I pulled over into the entrance of a buisness, turned off the car and got out before "she" caught up to me. She asked me what my problem was and I told her about the 4x4 and the "idiot" who was up my *** at the light. She then replied "That idiot was me". Then I said well there you go.......and she wrote me a $120 ticket for something like "misuse of power". Talk about the pot calling the kettle black......:wtf:
