I would like to put in a LT4 Hotcam without having to replace my springs? Possible? Will the springs hold?

Also whats the "middle of the road" headers that will work good with this new set up? I picked this car up pretty cheap and I don't want to invest a whole lot into it.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is one of those things that is on the line. Personally if I was going that route I would spend a few extra bucks while you have the car apart and just put better valve springs in it. The stock ones could very well keep up with the hotcam, but it could go either way.

Headers I would check with JBA see if they have set, these are generally priced pretty good.

New valve spring will have to be installed with the LT4 cam. Have you ever seen what happens to a motor when you drop a valve at 6000 rpm,s. It's very ugly.

What springs do you all recommend?

At my shop we install stock G.M. LT4 spring and retainers when installing this cam shaft.

Now is that with the LT4 hotcam? What sort of gains are you all seeing?
