a friend has a 2000 convert and the charging volts fluctuate from 12 to 14 volts at the gauge and the battery has anyone had this issue.it's not showing a code and the alt has been changed.

I'd hook up another volt meter to the battery and see how it compares with the stock volt meter. Chances are your stock volt meter isn't reading right or there is a problem with your alternator.

Thank you but we did checked the volts at the battery with a multimeter and was doing what the gauge showed he has already replaced the alt with no change does the same thing.
