Hey Corvette people, My '87 C4 fuel pump has been making a weird nose recently and I noticed that during lower speeds the motor is now stuttering and feels like not enough gas? Yet when I get on the HWY and get into the gas, it runs just fine?

Can anyone confirm this being the fuel pump or could it be anything else? Thanks

Maybe “bad” or low octane gas…buy some octane buster and see if that solves your problem…sure cheaper than a new fuel pump… :cheers:

I swapped out the plugs and wires (thanks Jim), added some fuel additive and it did the trick. Car actually seems to be running smoother. :cheers:

If i'm hearing noise coming from fuel pump I would replace, get a manual and do it yourself, its not a big job. Save $150up labor!
