I recently replaced all of the bose speakers/delco radio with an Alpine headunit, Boston Acoustic SR60, and S55 speakers, completely rewired Corvette to a 4 Channel Fusion Amplifier (used 24"zip tie to go through jams took maybe 10 seconds), and built a box for a 12" Alpine "E" subwoofer and then wrapped with fiberglass/bondo and carpet for a finished look. The sounds quality is amazing, the sub is a little to much for me but I had it left over from other installs.
I took these pics with my cell phone, my cameras flash has gone out, some are blurred but you get the idea.

Very nice set up! Is the amp running the sub and your other speakers?

Yes the speakers are ran off the front portion of the amp in parallel, I'm losing my fade feature when I do this. The sub is bridge off the rear.

Nice job! So how long did it take to build that box?

I've got about 6 hours in that box total. Most of it is drying and sanding time. If it was going to be painted there would have had of of been a couple more coats of the finish bondo and sanding to 600grit then primer/paint/wet sand etc.... going the carpet route your really only need to sand to 60-80 grit. Theres nothing else painted in my car and I think it would look tacky for my ride.
