I have a 78 Vette that has been in my family since it was brand new of the show room floor. So I have run into a few problems since I have inherited the car after it sat in the gararage for a few years I had to do some things to get it going good again the engine was great it runs good when I can start it. I replaced the starter, ignition coil, and the battery. Before I changed the coil I was driving it to work and it was starting fine but the generator light came on but it went of again so I didn't think anything of it. So I had to jump start it and it ran for an hour and when I tried to roll down the windows they wouldn't budge, so I tried the headlights and the car died so the only thing I could think was it has to be the alternator. Any ideas of anything else it may be.

First, welcome to SV. Great place for advice to get your Vette going again.
It could be the alternator, worn belt, or battery, if the battery is the same that sat all this time. A corner parts store can test either the batter or alternator for you for free. Visually inspect the belt. Is it tight, in good shape with no cracks, glazing, or other issues? V belts are cheap to replace if it is.
