I'm definitely and angler. I have been fishing since I was a child and enjoy every chance I get to do so. I'm not a tournament fisherman or anything like that. I just enjoy my time on the water. In 2000 I built my house on a small body of water and stocked the lake. Now I can be fishing within seconds of my decision to do so.

I hope you enjoy the sport. It is really relaxing. Oh yea, don't forget to pack the beer. :)

I enjoy fishing the Pacific off of California from time to time when the top fish are biting during the summer. I also like to relax and do a little freshwater fishing for trout. There's a lake about 4 mi. from my home.

I like to fish once in a while. There's a golf course bar that has a great fish fry every Friday night. That's about as close to fishing as I get. :smack:

I'd like to pick up on some of that. I have hardly ever lifted a fly rod.

My brother and I used to go fishing quite often when we were growing up. We used to live on one of the best bass fishing lakes in upstate NY. Now that little four letter word has hampered our ability to go fishing like we used to, and that word is..........WORK!

I like to take the half day cattle boats out of Newport Beach and go for Sea Bass. Unless a friend will me sometime in his 50' fishing boat in S.D. :)

Used to live in MOntana so I'm kinda spoiled when it comes to trout fishing. :p

Used to park my "Caddy" and walk streams, no matter how small. Always came home with dinner.
Don't like to sit at a lake or pond and drown worms, like to fish my way down a stream.
Never buy bait, use what I find along the bank. :)

We just picked up some new gear today and we will probably get to use them tomorrow! Now if I could only catch a fish, that would make my day!! We will just have to see.

Leaving for 4 days towards the end of this month. SE Oklahoma lake Hugo best crappie lake in the state. Just dad and I for the long weekend. Haven't had a chance to do this with dad for some time. Should say haven't taken the time. We all think we are too busy but need to shut down and enjoy life. Dad had a kidney transplant a few years ago then he went back to work full time and both of us always thought we were too busy. Nowdays you never know what will happen better take advantage of time we have.

PS
If you don't hear from me
call 911 he may throw me

Having a good time is the main part. My wife has yet to understand that. Dad and I used to drive to north cental Ks to quail hunt every year. I would get home and she would ask how many birds we killed. Sometimes we would limit out each day and other times we would not, but enjoyed every minute of it. They can walk around in the damn malls all day and come home with nothing {wishfull thinking} to show for the time they spend. Never will understand women. Never really want to. Grandpa always said there was only one man that ever figured a woman out and that poor bastard died laughing.:smack:

I used to fish alot but can't seem to find the time anymore.
I work a ton of overtime and never have enough time for
fishing. By the time I get in my Vette and Harley driving
time, there isn't alot ofother free time.

Just got back last night from 4 day fishing trip in SE Oklahoma. Caught a few. Could have been better if lake level was down. We were fishing about 10 to 12 feet above where we should have been camping. Rowing the boat through the top 1/3 of trees gets damn tiring. Beats the hell out of day job though.

  I hope you had a great time fishing with your Dad!!
I recently lost my Dad and it was tough because he lived in TX and I live in SC.
I didn't get to see him all that much and I wished I did now. Spend as much
time with him as you can!! Life is too short and you always think there is
another day!! Charish the moments man!!!!

I like to fish and hang out at the lake all day but my perfect would be in december, waking up at 3:30 a.m. getting dressed, of course my including lucky Rockford Fosgate t-shirt, starting my truck that has my muzzle loader and supply box already sitting on the seat. Then coming back in to put on my Carhartts on, stop at Kum and Go for my hotdog and Big Slam Mt. Dew traditon and then driving my hour and 45 min trip to my deer hunting spot, don't care if I get one because if I don't it just means another relaxing day in the woods sitting against a tree, catching a half hour nap sometime in the early morning (when I should clearly be watching for deer because its when they are really moving strong) then sit for two more hours after I wake up.

My wifes stepbrother used to hunt with me. He liked to take his morning naps also, but he would sleep for 2 or 3 hours. His brother and I would be about 300 yards away in another deer stand watching the deer walk around his stand. Later that afternoon we would ask him if he saw any deer, he would always say no. I told him maybe he needed to dream about them. Pissed him off one day around 8:00 am his brother killed a 10 point that had just walked past him from our stand 300 yards away. To this day he claims it was not big enough for him and he passed it up.

Man I live to fish. Summer times I'm out there fishing at least 2 days a week and during the winter months I still manage to get out at least a few times a month.
