does anyone know the specs for aligning front wheels on a 1970 corvette?
camber, caster and toe ranges?
Pulls right and I just put some new rubber on her.. the NTB that did the tires and attempted the alignment with some specs off the internet.. no dice! Still pulls right and before I can get a refund the guy needs the specs to attempt to correct it.
The one site I found had no range.. just * degrees/measurements etc.. someone help...

I had my 76 front end rebuilt in January at a local Goodyear shop. I have the print out from the alignment which does show 1975-76 Power assisted steering but it's something for you to look at. Granted the engine size will make a big difference due to the weight, mine is a 350.

Front Left and right side

Camber 0.0 to 1.5 degrees
Caster 1.3 to 3.3 degrees
Toe .13 to .38 degrees

Front Total Toe .25 to .75 degrees

Rear Left and Right

Camber -1.1 to -.6 (both are negative numbers)
Toe .03 to .09 (positve numbers)

Thanks.. I talked to corvette mike and he said the alignment specs should be the same for all c3's from 69 on. I have a 350 too. Was it recommended to do all 4 wheels?

They automatically did the rear since it's an independent suspension system it needs to be checked and also bears an influence on the front. That was also when they figured out my right trailing arm bushing is worn to the point that they couldnt' align it within spec but it won't cause wear on the tires.

In that case it could be the trailing arm bushings causing the problem. If the rear of the vehicle is not tracking right it will make the car stear off course.

What did Goodyear charge to rebuild the front end?

More than I want to admit  It came to $1,976.00 with parts (Moog), labor and the alignment. If you have the facility and the ability to do the work yourself you can get the parts for less than $800. I have rebuilt front ends when I was a mechanic but doing it at home in my garage without a lift was going to pose more of a challenge then I wanted since I had been restoring the car for 2 months and a couple days break was worth paying them to do the work.

The specs that you have been given are correct, but if your car is a little twitchie after having a four wheel alignment then talk to your mechanic about this set-up. Front Toe 1/8" Camber at 0 deg neg. Caster at 2 3/4 deg pos. Set rear toe at 1/8" and make sure that your rear spring height is where you want it BEFORE you have it aligned.

I just finished rebuilding the front end on my '71 about three weeks ago. All new Moog hard parts and bushings. If I recall it cost me about $300 for the parts.
