Get a hold of J&D Corvette in Bellflower, California. They have a big yard of parts cars all years. I've been in thier yard and could have camped out for a week.

If headlamp door still functions along w/lights working I would visit body shops in my area, you will undoubtly find someone who can repair without buying any parts, as it sure don't look like a "hard hit". Should you need the headlamp door, ebay has'em with or without the guts. $3787.00??? Is this guy nuts, you've been put on the elevator. A good body/paint man will match old/new paint, might not be perfect but beats painting whole car. Check around it don't cost nuttin..........

I thought from your orig. post you would be stuck as I wasn't suggesting you get a "cob job" done on your Vette but how you could save $$. Four thou repair job outta ones own pocket for older model is kinda hard to accept..........alls well that end well.....By the way what have you done to the motor to light'em up(boil the hydes)?
