I have a new heater core and hoses for my '78 C3 and was wondering how long should this take to fix?

Should take you a few hours if you are handy in the garage.

Hello
First remove the trim panel under the steering column then loosin the two bolt holding the steering column up and lower the column, next remove speedo/tack cluster then the radio and center gauge cluster then the glove box, A-pillar mouldings, next remove the dash speaker and defroster grill then the dash assembly. At this point you can see the heater box, there are 4 bolt holding it to the firewall, inside the car two on the bottom of the box and one in the upper right. Under the hood there will be a 1/4 stud with a nut on it holding the a/c box to the firewall. Its just behind the fan speed rheostat in the air box, remove this nut and the heater hoses. At this point there are still a few small things to unhook that you will see, but after that you can now remove the heater box from the car. Nothing to it!
