I have an (2000) LS1 in a 65 coupe. The transmission is a 700R4 and has a set idle of 500 RPM's. The GM Tech tells me that since the engine came out of a standard set-up, the idle was set at the factory and can not be changed through the computer. Know anything about this?

Thanks, Jim

That is crap take it to a good tuner have him or her to copy the stock tune for you so he or she will alway have it to ref back to are to put back to stock. Then get it tune for you for what ever you want it to do. It dont take but 3 sec after the HP tuner is hooked up to raise or lower the idle.... If the motor is 100% stock just ask the guy to raise the idle 2 or 3 hundred for you...

Robert, thanks for the reply. I thought there was a way to still set the idle.
