My computer is running super slow and the internet speeds are sooooo slow? My internet provider checked everything on their end and said its my computer. What can I do to get this cleaned up?

Just curious, have you tried running a broadband speed test, to confirm how fast your connection is running? It might help you in determining if the connection is slow.

If your running Windows XP or Vista, is it possible that you have automatic updates turned on? Perhaps it is trying to download/update your system while you are logged on?

How often do you defragment your computer? I've seen Windows based systems slow way down because their harddrives become very fragmented and the drive is "jumping" all over the place trying to locate files.

Do you have any Anti-virus software on the PC and is it updated?
How about adware/spyware software. Most likely its as above or you have some nasty spyware on the machine.

Check Windows Secrets (http://www.windowssecrets.com/) for computer bugs/issues/resolutions. Everything is searchable too. I would search for spyware reviews first.
