Do detailing products start to break down over time, temperature difference, etc?
I have some products that have been in garage for a couple years and don't get used that often, just wondering if worth keeping or should I toss out?

Really depends on the products... cleaners like degreasers, glass cleaners, etc are generally good for a long time. Waxes, polishes, etc on the other hand will start to go bad over time.
First thing is if you've stored them properly. Most products need to be kept within a temp range of no lower than 35-40* and no higher than 80-85* outside of that range you run the risk of the product no longer being good.
Also keeping them stored away from sunlight as UV rays have an impact as well.
Theres really no way to know unless you inspect them. Shake them vigorously and then let them sit for a few minutes if they start to separate or don't mix together you likely just need to toss them out in favor of new bottles.

I tend to throw out most of my stuff after a year or two and buy all new stuff.

Yeah same here. Most of the other stuff I use tend to be ok.
