I have an 89 vette. When I start the car all the displays are bright. After a few seconds the tach, coolant and fuel economy displays dim out. Can anybody tell me whats wrong and how to fix this? Thanks.

you might have to replace your gauge pod lights or there might be a short somewhere that is not allowing the correct amount of power to get to the gauges.

Thanks, I was reading the shop manual and it says there is a photocell that controls the light level.Do you think that may have something to do with it?

Hi,thanks for the reply. I was reading the shop manual and it says the light level is controlled by a photocell and the dimmer switch.Do you think that may have something to do with the problem?
