I need info. What is the spec thermostat on the Z06? Also, at what temp is the fan supposed to kick on when the A/c is not on? Reading an owners manual is like a primmer for Forrest Gump. You'd think GM would give Z06 owners some credit for being "semi-gearheads":D

OK I called the GM technition at the dealership and he says these engines use a 195 degree thermostat. Further, the operating temp is higher than typical lower performance engines. Ths radiator fan set point is 235 degrees F. So if you guys/gals notice a bit higher temp on the digital and analog gauges, as long as the "red line" for the gauge is not reached, and the digital computer warning level is not indicated, don't worry.
I think I'll get a shop manual just the same.:)

"Forrest Gump" statement was comedy: you know what, I was thinking about getting a custom tune and putting in a lower thermostat, through the tune they can program the fans to kick on earlier and the lower thermostat will open things up earlier as well, with summer months coming this will keep the engine running a little cooler.
