I put a new a/c clutch on my 89, it worked great for about a month. A few days ago while driving my a/c quit, got home the fuse was blown. I replaced it, now it blows the fuse as soon as I turn the ac on. no obvious wear visible on any wires. whats my next step

Your gonna have to grab your DVM and start troubleshooting whats blowing the fuse.
Unplug your AC clutch. Does it still blow?

If it does, trace the wiring back in the harness to find where the pinched wire is. It also might be the noise supression diode at the end of the A/C compressor pigtail has shorted out. If it doesn't blow the new fuse, the A/C compressor is shorted internally, and will need to be replaced.
