Picked up a bone stock 47,000 mile 2003 C5 yesterday and really want to get started on doing something with car. It definately needs to be lowered.
What mods are available that are under $1000 that really look good or have a true and tested performance back ground? I'm a transplant from the Import car scenes so learning as I go with the domestics

I think that one of the best mods for your dollar is a set of gears. You will notice the most from this mod than any other mod hands down. Second would be a full exhaust from headers on back, although I think that you will definetely be going over your budget on that one!!

Open up a aftermarket companies C5 section catelog and you will find tons of stuff under $1000. You might be able to find a set of headers under a $1000 that will add some nice power and sound really cool also!

:iagree: There are so many mods in most aftermarket parts company (Ecklers, Zip, Corvette America, etc.) Now if you are looking for some serious power be prepared to spend more $$
